Root Layer Foundation is a PoW public blockchain that provides enterprise-grade settlement and verification infrastructure. A neutral root chain secured by quantum-resistant GPU mining, with customizable workchains for enterprise privacy, compliance, and throughput requirements.
How is this different from permissioned enterprise chains?+
Permissioned chains require trust in an operator — which is weaker than the legal and institutional trust enterprise already has. Root Layer Foundation keeps the public, PoW-secured root (unforgeable, no operator required) and adds configurable workchains on top for enterprise needs. You get the full guarantees of a public chain without giving up privacy or compliance control.
What is a workchain?+
A workchain is a configurable chain that settles to the Root Layer Foundation L1 root. Each workchain can set its own token emission, transaction fees, block time, and privacy/compliance rules — while inheriting the security of the PoW L1 below. Different workchains serve different use cases: healthcare supply chain, authentication, government records, food delivery settlement, etc.
Is there a premine or team allocation?+
No. Zero premine. No ICO. No VC allocation. No team tokens reserved off-chain. 80% of emission goes to miners, 10% to ecosystem fund, 10% to team — all on the public emission curve. Every $RL in existence is mined.
Why GPU mining specifically?+
